Glitch'd Roleplay is a Sydney, Australia based roleplay server. We expect all members to follow the rules below, along with anything added to them over time. Breaking a rule will always result in a chat with a member of staff, but it won't always mean a punishment.
The city runs on New South Wales and Australian laws and regulations. Keep in mind that police and paramedics aren't always going to be those professions in real life, so don't expect them to know every law perfectly. They'll do their best to be realistic on a simpler level.

1. General
1.1 Respecting the Community
Always respect other community members, no matter their age, how long they've been here, or where they've come from. The Discord should be a safe place where members can ask questions about the server without being bullied or harassed in text channels, voice channels or DMs. Please be as helpful as possible to new members and answer their questions, as long as it isn't metagaming.
1.2 Respecting the Staff Team
If a member of staff talks to you, be truthful, helpful and respectful. Don't yell, run away or talk over staff. If you have an issue with how a staff member is acting or handling a situation, DM a member of the Admin Team.
1.3 Language & Behaviour
No violent, sexist, racist, discriminatory, insulting, accusatory or defamatory language or behaviour. This includes discrimination against anyone's gender, race, sexuality, health issues or disabilities. The N-word, rape references and any similar language are banned both in roleplay and on Discord.
1.4 Personal Information
Don't share other people's real names, addresses, payment details or pictures. This is a bannable offence with no warnings.
1.5 No NSFW or Gore
No NSFW or gore content anywhere on the Discord.
1.6 Advertising & Self-Promotion
No advertising of any kind. This includes referral links, social media, Discord invites and paid CFX forum links. Self-promotion is not allowed unless staff say otherwise.
1.7 Use the Right Channels
Keep discussions in the correct channels.
1.8 Don't Ask to Ask
Don't ask if you can ask a question. Just ask it.
1.9 No Spam
Don't spam, including with big or bold text.
1.10 Pinging
Don't ping staff or members unnecessarily.
1.11 Other Servers
Playing on other servers is completely fine. You're never forced to stay or leave unless a rule break is involved.
1.12 Use Common Sense
If something isn't covered by the rules but you know it's wrong, don't do it.
2. Roleplay
2.1 Staying in Character (IC)
While in the city, play as your character would if they were real. No talking about OOC things or using terms like "server" or "lag". The only exception is when a staff member is talking to you.
2.2 Metagaming
Only use information your character has learned through RP in the city. No information is to be taken from Discord unless it's from an RP channel.
2.3 Powergaming
Aim to give and receive the best RP possible. Don't try to win every situation without caring how the other people involved feel about it.
2.4 Fail RP
Don't do things that are unrealistic or that ruin the RP for others. Examples: ignoring injuries, acting in ways your character never realistically would, or breaking the flow of a scene for no reason. Always play your character as if they were a real person in the city.
2.5 Combat Logging
Never leave the city during an RP situation. The only exception is a real emergency, and you must make it clear to everyone nearby before leaving. Combat logging is an automatic ban of at least 1 day.
2.6 Finish the Roleplay
Even if someone breaks a rule, stay in character and complete the roleplay. Don't break character to call them out. Two wrongs don't make a right. Report it to staff afterwards with a ticket. Staff will try not to step into an active roleplay.
2.7 Character Age
All characters in the city must be 18 or older.
2.8 Scamming
All legal sales (such as selling cars) must be completely legit. Scamming is only allowed as part of illegal activity.
3. Hostile RP
3.1 Random Deathmatch (RDM)
Before any shootouts, stabbings etc., both parties must understand why it's happening. Verbal RP before a fight is strongly recommended.
3.2 Vehicle Deathmatch (VDM)
Vehicles are for transport only. Don't use a vehicle to ram or kill another player.
3.3 New Life Rule (NLR)
NLR applies only to hostile situations:
- Downed, revived by paramedics and taken to hospital by friends: you remember the situation but can't return to the same location or RP with the same people for one hour.
- Downed and revived by local paramedics: forget the situation that led to you being downed and act as if you blacked out and woke up in hospital.
3.4 Fear RP
Value your character's life. If someone points a gun at you, you wouldn't run away or start throwing punches in real life. Always think about how your character would realistically react.
3.5 Hostile RP Numbers
A maximum of 6 people can take part in hostile RP on one side, unless it's a verified gang.
3.6 Robberies
At least 2 police must be on duty to rob another civilian, so there's RP for both police and civilians.
3.7 No Lootboxing
Robbing someone must involve actual roleplay. Downing or holding someone up just to take their items with no RP is not allowed.
3.8 No Boot Checking
Don't steal from vehicles that have just been pulled out of a garage, or from vehicles left behind because someone's game crashed or they disconnected.
3.9 Safe Zones
All hospitals and the outside of the prison are safe zones. No hostile RP in or around them.
4. Realism
4.1 Working Microphone
You must have a working microphone while roleplaying.
4.2 Injury RP
Take your character's injuries somewhat seriously. You don't need a full medical RP or surgery every time you get hurt, but if you've been shot, crashed or fallen off something, play it out. Don't RP as Superman.
4.3 Police Baiting
Police interactions should happen naturally. Drifting around police or outside a station just to start a pursuit isn't allowed. You can still plan scenarios that involve police, like waiting a few minutes for them to show up to your bank robbery.
4.4 Exploiting
Don't use bugs or glitches to gain an unfair advantage or reach places you shouldn't be able to.
4.5 Real Money Trading (RMT)
Buying or selling in-game items, money, vehicles, property or accounts for real money is not allowed. Getting caught means a permanent ban.
